Could you single-handedly organise a festival? Our Marston’s House teammate Laura did just that to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.

After her mum’s diagnoses in 2017, Laura wanted to do something positive to raise vital funds towards research for a cure.

After months of organising, she pulled off Shakefest Part Deux, where festivalgoers enjoyed live music, food and drink, face painting and a raffle in the sunshine.

She said: “The day itself was absolutely brilliant! It started out as a tiny charity event that just got bigger and bigger. At times it was stressful to organise, but it was definitely worth all the hard work in the end.”

So far, the event’s raised a massive £4,800. Well done Laura, great job!
