DE14 on tour

We’re returning to Craft Beer Rising in London from 21-23 February.

Craft Beer Rising is the UK’s biggest craft beer festival at The Old Truman Brewery in London. It’s the ultimate craft beer, street food and music experience for both industry experts and passionate beer fans alike.

Based at Marston’s Brewery in Burton, our DE14 nano-kit allows our brewers to experiment with ingredients and techniques to create exciting new beers. This year, we’ll be showcasing four beers brewed on the 600-pint kit:

  • 4-Track Hopped Lager: Named after the first multi-track recording machines found in recording studios in the 1950s, this beer is quad-hopped to deliver a refreshing, well-rounded lager.
  • Free Fall Saison: Free Fall is a farmhouse-styled Saison ale, brewed with pilsner malt to create a sweet malty beer. It’s fermented using a Belgian Saison yeast, which creates distinct fruity aromas and sweet malty flavours.
  • Carousel: The brain-child of our Shift Brewer Rafik, Cascade is a juicy double dry-hopped hazy IPA. Brewed with extra pale ale malt, wheat and naked oats, it’s hopped with Cascade for bittering, and a combination of Amarillo, Citra, Mosaic, Chinook, Columbus and Simcoe for mid and late hopping.
  • Chapadao: Brew Your Own Beer Competition winner Ben, MD of Artemis Cold Brew Coffee Co, brewed his own beer on the DE14 kit. This small-batch exclusive brew is infused his concentrate cold-brew coffee – brewed over 21 hours using fresh speciality coffee from the Fazenda Chapadao Coffee Farm in Brazil and filtered water, it delivers exceptional flavour without the bitterness. The result is a pale and fruity session coffee beer.

On the day, Chapadao will be offered in three servings: straight up, with a DE14 stencil – made of powdered pale ale grist – shaken on top, and with a topping of Marston’s award-winning Owd Roger to blend old and new.

Jo, DE14 Marketing Manager, said: “We’re really excited to take Ben’s beer to Craft Beer Rising. His cold-brew coffee works really well in beer and we can’t wait to see what people think!”

Keep your eyes peeled for behind-the-scenes exclusives and special interviews!
