A blast from the past
Spotted this week: you’ve been sharing old receipts from your pubs that date back hundreds of years.

On Facebook, our Training team shared a receipt from Ye Olde Saracen’s Head, Coventry, which dates back to 1959. The receipt shows our guests enjoyed two meals for £120, with additional charges for two onions and cream!
Jason, team member at The Rose and Crown in Brailsford, can beat it with his receipt dating back to 1943 for an overnight stay, breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper and high tea!
But Mark, General Manager at The White Hart in Andover, comes out on top with a receipt dating back to 1888! It’s no surprise because his historic hotel and pub dates back to the 17th Century.
Still think you can beat it? Let us know at communications@marstons.co.uk.
