Marston’s Brewery scooped a top award at the 2018 Beer and Cider Marketing Awards!

The Beer and Cider Marketing Awards showcase the UK’s top marketeers and celebrate the best campaigns across the industry.

The hugely successful Beer Town Film Festival at Marston’s Brewery was shortlisted for three awards (‘Best Event’, ‘Best PR Campaign’ and ‘Best Integrated Campaign’) and won ‘Best Event’ on the night.

The film festival championed up-and-coming filmmakers throughout the UK. The competition, in partnership with Burton and South Derbyshire College and the Burton Mail, launched last autumn and we were thrilled to have nearly 800 entries. To top it off, the winners were announced at a special outdoor cinema screening of ‘Star Wars: Rough One’, held in the brewery yard.

The awards recognise the best of the best in marketing, and the ceremony has a reputation for being a great place to network, as it’s the only event that brings the entire industry together under one roof to celebrate.

The judges (made up of leading trade operators, journalists, bloggers and marketeers) have direct experience in the industry and heaps of knowledge. They judge a shortlist for the 19 different categories.

Pete Brown, organiser and judge, said: ““This initiative demonstrates generosity, originality and long-term thinking, creating a firmer bond between Marston’s and Burton that should benefit both.”
