Cheers to 40 years!

Join Ringwood for a birthday celebration on Father’s Day, to honour founder Peter Austin.

Peter Austin was a much-loved local chap, who opened a number of breweries before he arrived in Ringwood. He opened Ringwood’s Brewhouse, Minty’s Yard, in 1978, brewing Best Bitter and Forty Niner for a handful of local customers. In 1986, having outgrown Minty’s Yard, the brewery moved to its present site.

Peter’s now thought of as the father of British micro-brewing, so what better way to celebrate Ringwood’s 40th birthday than a special Father’s Day beer festival on 16 June? Entry is free and there’ll be 16 ales on the bar (and a free pint for all the dads out there!), as well as live music, free mini-tours, face painting and a BBQ from local food vendor Appetite for Adventure. Look out for the VIP guests, too!
