Celebrating success at the Beer and Cider Marketing Awards

There’s no better way to celebrate Cask Ale Week than with some award wins!

Wainwright Golden Ale won Best Integrated Campaign for ‘Find Your Mountain’, a campaign targeting ‘energy enthusiasts’ who celebrate with a pint after achieving something great! The team created a huge social media presence and increased awareness of the brand by using inspirational quotes from famous fell walker Alfred Wainwright to appeal to drinkers’ adventurous side. The new title adds to a string of successes for Wainwright, which was ranked the no.1 cask ale brand by The Morning Advertiser in 2016.

Bombardier was our second winner of the night, winning Best Broadcast Advertising Campaign for ‘March To Your Own Drum’, a modern campaign that positioned Bombardier as a drink with unique character and distinctive taste for independent flavour followers. Roy Turnham, a blind drummer and Team GB Football Paralympian, was the perfect ambassador featuring in an inspiring and thought-provoking TV ad showcasing strength and courage.

The awards recognise the best of the best in marketing and branding and the ceremony has a reputation for being a great place to network, as it’s the only event that brings the entire industry together under one roof to celebrate.

The judges, made up of 10 leading trade operators, journalists, bloggers and marketeers, have direct experience in the industry and heaps of knowledge. They judge a shortlist for the 19 different categories and decide on Best Beer Marketer and Best Cider Marketer for each one.

It’s great to see another big win for Marston’s and during Cask Ale Week… we just can’t get enough of celebrating our amazing beers this week!
