Keith Fletcher, who has recently celebrated promotion to multi-site general manager, has reached the next stage of the awards after judges recognised his journey with us from a Level 3 apprentice to his latest role.
Keith will battle it out for the winning title in the Advanced Level category for the East of England region.
While Louise Clark has also reached the next stage in the competition in the Apprenticeship Champion category for the West Midlands region.
The National Apprenticeship Awards, now in their fourteenth year, showcase the diverse range of sectors engaged with apprenticeships and celebrate outstanding apprentices and brilliant employers.
Hosted by the National Apprenticeship Service, the awards recognise excellence in businesses that grow their own talent with apprenticeships and apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their workplaces. They provide businesses and individuals with a platform to showcase how apprenticeships have made a real difference to their organisation and their careers.
We can’t wait to find out if Keith and Louise have made the regional finals on August 9 before learning if they are regional winners in October if they get through – we are sure they will!
The national finalists of the awards will be announced in November with the national winners announced in January.
We have more 400 apprentices under our own apprenticeship scheme and are proud of every one of them for their dedication and hard work.
So why do we offer our apprenticeship scheme?
If you’re interested in recruiting an apprentice into your team, developing one of your existing team as they move into a new role, or joining the apprenticeship programme yourself, talk to Jo Bradford, Apprenticeship Manager, to find out more about the opportunities available (joanne.bradford@marstons.co.uk or 07800 994197).
