When our teammate Mia Thompson told her customers at the Nag’s Head in Borrowdale, Derby she would be shaving her hair for charity - they decided to join her!

Mia, front of house at the pub, was joined by regular Graham and his eight-year-old grandson Alex.

The trio all had their heads shaved while it was being streamed on Facebook Live and the £1,700 raised from the head shave challenge and the pub’s family fun day went to Macmillan.

While on the other side of Derby, The Rising Sun of Willington hosted a live music charity event in aid of little-known charity AMMF, which raises awareness about cholangiocarcinoma, a rare liver and bile duct disease that sadly took the life of local man Colin Stringer.

The pub’s landlady, Angela Wardle, has been helping raise money for the charity and to support Colin’s widow, Lesley and her daughter as they took part in a nerve-wracking skydive for the charity.
