Keeping beer flowing for 50 years

We’re celebrating a long-service record this year. Beer Quality Technician Terry Marsh is the first teammate to reach 50 years of service at Marston’s – what an incredible achievement!

So, let’s revisit 1966 in his honour. It was a big year! England won the World Cup; the BBC broadcast TV in colour; and (after a few wise words from his dad!) Terry had his first ever day at Marston’s as an apprentice. Who’d have believed then that he’d be joined by his nearest and dearest to celebrate his 50th anniversary with Marston’s in 2016?!

We caught-up with Terry before his long-service presentation to find out what reaching such a significant milestone feels like. Click below to watch a very special film with our long-service hero – and to find out what those very important words were from his dad…

This film was played at the end of Terry’s awards evening, where he was joined by teammates, friends and family – and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Here are some of the pics from the event, where Terry was truly the star of the show, with his own Terry’s Gold beer and magazine cover…

Let’s all raise a glass to Terry. Thank you for all of your hard work, loyalty and commitment since joining the Marston’s team – and, importantly, for keeping beer flowing over the last 50 years!
