Wainwright goes on a dirty weekend

Eight thousand outdoor fanatics met in Burghley Park, Cambridgeshire, for the annual Rat Race Dirty Weekend!

Wainwright is sponsoring seven extreme events across the summer and autumn to engage with outdoor and beer-loving enthusiasts. The Rat Race events attract city-based outdoor types to the ‘world’s biggest obstacle course’ over 20 miles.

At the Cambridgeshire event on 13 May, competitors were challenged to take on the Wainwright climbing wall – but only after they had completed their run, swim and climb over the English countryside. Successful challengers on the wall earned themselves a free pint of our refreshing beer.

Gaynor Green, Brand Manager, said: “It was a great day, with perfect weather and a fantastic bunch of competitors. And we ran out of beer by 17.00! Luckily the beer tent was fully stocked for the evening party.”

If you’d like to get ‘down and dirty’ at the weekend, Gaynor says there will be opportunities for Marston’s people to get involved in the upcoming Rat Race events. Look out for news!
