Saluting our forces

We’ve got all the inspiration you need to plan your Armed Forces Day event on 29 June.

Armed Forces Day is a great way for all of us to show our support for service people across the country – and it’s really easy to get involved! Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Follow Armed Forces Day on social media and share its posts throughout the day.
  • Attend an event – there are hundreds of free get-togethers taking place across the UK.
  • Fundraise for Help for Heroes or hold an event of your own at your Marston’s site. Download an event toolkit and a whole host of other resources here.
  • Get together with teammates, customers, friends and family to post a picture or short film of you ‘saluting the Forces’ on social media, using #wearemarstons #SaluteOurForces.
  • Fly the Armed Forces Day flag, bunting, hand-wavers or banners at your site.

The Conqueror’s March in Hastings has planned a special charity breakfast. They’ll be joined by the local fire brigade, police and sea cadets, who’ll be on hand to share what life’s like in the forces. A special raffle will raise vital funds for service people across the country, too. Check out the event here.

The Fleeting Brook has called on local suppliers and customers to collect prize for their grand raffle. All the money raised will be donated to Care After Combat, a UK based charity for the well-being of veterans and their family. On the day, local musician Clive Stevens will entertain the crowds.

If you’re celebrating Armed Forces Day, we’d love to hear from you! Let us know your plans in the comments below or use #wearemarstons on social media.
