Express lager lane cuts bar wait

McEwan’s new boarding-style concept went live in Edinburgh over the weekend, just in time for Scotland’s UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier.

The ‘lager lane’ – which is in place throughout June at Scott’s of Rose Street – offers fans priority access to hand-poured pints of McEwan’s Lager. It’s all about reducing the wait at the bar so fans have more time to watch the match.

It coincides with the roll-out of the brand’s lager refresh, which focuses on a modern look with the stand-out ‘McE’ logo.

Brand Manager Joanna said: “Everyone loves supporting the national side, but queuing for a pint during the game? Not so much! That’s why we created McEwan’s Lager Lanes to give Scotland supporters more time watching the match with their mates. Freshly poured draught lager and a Scotland win – now that’s the perfect recipe for a sing song down the local!”
