Bring it on!

Seven of our pubs are competing in the BT Sport Pub Cup 2019 regional heats!

The BT Sport Pub Cup is a free-to-enter tournament for football teams up and down the country. It’s open to any footy teams that represent their local pubs and is all about giving Sunday League players a Premier League experience.

Returning for its third year, this year’s tournament will be bigger and better than ever, with 190 men’s and women’s teams competing.

Seven of our pubs will take part in this year’s regional heats at twelve stadiums across the UK, including Anfield, Selhurst Park and the Molineux:

  • The Wrottersley Arms, Perton
  • The Holmcroft, Stafford
  • The Pillar of Salt, Droitwich
  • The White Hart, Ashby De La Zouch
  • The New Bridge Inn, Shelton Lock
  • The Teal Farm, Washington
  • The Golden Hind, Kingstanding

And this year, for the first time, we’ve entered a women’s team made up of teammates from our support centre in Wolverhampton. They’re competing at the Molineux Stadium this weekend!

After the heats, the winning teams face off in the semi-finals at the state-of-the-art City Academy, home of Manchester City, with the final taking place at St. James’ Park, Newcastle.

We’ve got our fingers crossed for everyone involved! 🙂
