Flying high

Our latest carvery site, The Dragonfly, opened in Basingstoke earlier this week.

In need of a hearty roast to warm you up, look no further! The Dragonfly opened this week.

But what about its name? The Basingstoke canal, located nearby, is famous for dragonflies – as many as 25 of Britain’s 39 species of dragonflies inhabit the canal

With space for 150 covers, The Dragonfly will serve daily carveries with quality British meat, homemade Yorkies, roast potatoes and fresh seasonal veg. And, there’s a main menu packed full of homemade meals like toad in the hole and the famous Yorkie wrap.

Opening day went down a storm with ribbon cutting from the town’s Mayor. Guests were quick to take to social media to praise the great quality food, family-friendly vibe and attentive teammates.

Total sales for the first day topped £7,000 – a huge well done to General Manager Gordon and his new team! Follow the pub on Facebook for the latest news and events.

Good luck for your first few weeks, team Dragonfly! 🙂
