Go ‘Round the Wrekin’ with Banks’s

Join World Cycling Champion Hugh Porter MBC in an epic cycling challenge and raise money for Compton Care Hospice along the way!

Back for its fourth successful year, the Banks’s sponsored ‘Round the Wrekin’ cycle event raises money for local Wolverhampton-based charity, Compton Care Hospice. Funds raised go towards helping to provide extraordinary care for patients and their families living with complex and incurable illnesses.

Setting off on 19 May, there will be four cycle routes catering for all abilities: a short route of 24-miles (The Hugh Porter Challenge); a standard route of 64-miles (The Compton Care Classic); an epic route of 100-miles (The Banks’s route) taking in The Burway, Stiperstones and The Wrekin along the way; and new for this year, a 10-mile fun cycle suitable for all abilities.

The event will start and finish at Dudley Kingswinford Rugby Club, where riders will be rewarded with a refreshing pint of Banks’s! And, World Cycling Champion Hugh Porter MBE will be riding the 24-mile route that was named in his honour.

Up for the challenge? Online entries are open and prices start from just £10 – click here to get involved. Plus, this year, you can look the part in a Compton Care cycle jersey, at £25 each, or get one for free if you raise £200 or more in sponsorship.
