Gate Inn there!

Three exceptional Village pubs were recognised in the format’s annual awards earlier this month.

The Gate Inn, Amington, was crowned Village Pub of the Year! Manager Bernie and her teammates go above and beyond to make sure the pub sits at the heart of the community.

Bernie, who has risen through the ranks as part of our Keyholder Development Programme, is always coming up with wacky ideas to attract customers. Just recently she invited customers to nominate a team member to get gunged in exchange for donating to Breast Cancer UK. Check out the video here.

Lee and his team at The Crown, Albrighton, picked up the Village Ale Pub of the Year award. Teammates sold a whopping 45,000 pints in the last 12 months, that’s 123 a day!

The Duke of Cumberland, North Ferriby, won Most Improved Village Pub of the Year. Franchisee Victoria was recognised for turning things around since she took over. She’s always looking for opportunities to entertain with free pool on Sunday evenings, regular live music and special events – earlier this month she held a special Valentine’s charity ball.

Huge well done to all of our winners, keep up the fantastic work!
