Happy new opening!

The Camperdown Elm – our first rotisserie pub for more than a year – opened this week!

The Camperdown Elm, Dundee, opened on Monday.

And what about its name? A unique elm tree was discovered at Camperdown House in Dundee in 1835 – it’s a rare plant that cannot reproduce by itself, which means that all of the Camperdown Elms in the world can be traced back to the original tree in Scotland.

To honour this lovely piece of history, we’ve planted our very own Camperdown Elm in the garden in front of the pub.

On the menu, you’ll find pub classics, juicy burgers and tender chicken seasoned to perfection and rotated slowly in our bespoke grills.

The preview weekend went down a storm and had a special Burns Night theme – think haggis, whiskey and bag pipes! And, our teammates received rave reviews ahead of opening, with guests praising the perfect food, friendly atmosphere and top-notch customer service.

On launch day, ice hockey players Petr and Jordan (from local team The Dundee Stars) cut the ribbon and Shuggie the Scottish mascot stopped by to say hello, too.

A BIG welcome to Derek and his team and good luck for your first few weeks 🙂
