Ode to a Haggis
Our teams up and down the country celebrated Burns Night in style.
Every January, Scots all over the world come together to celebrate the life of national poet, Robert Burns, on his birthday, hosting traditional Burns Suppers – think tartan, whiskey, Scottish delicacies and even the odd kilt!
This year, our teams got into the spirit with special menus, live music and even a traditional speech known as the ‘Ode to a Haggis’. Here are a few of our faves…
- Teammates at The White Hart, Andover, hosted a special Burns Night quiz. The winning team took home a £50 prize and the runners-up a special Scottish hamper complete with whiskey, Irn Bru and Scottish oats.
- At The Bluebell Inn in Malvern the special Burns Night celebration included an Ode to the Haggis, live music from local band Cheshire Brooks and Whiskey and Irn Bru themed drinks. Check out the live video here – it’s already been viewed more than 3,000 times!
- A special Burns Night menu went down a treat at our Urban pub, The One Man and His Dog. Dishes included Black Pudding Bon-Bon’s, Leek and Tattie Soup and Haggis, Neeps and Tatties (yum!).
