Spotted this week…

Our pubs have been pulling out all the stops with special tributes for Remembrance Sunday.

Kim, General Manager at The Crows Nest, Seaham, has used her creative craft skills to create a special tribute to our troops for Remembrance Sunday.

Kim used old clothes, a metal frame and hundreds of handmade poppies to create this moving tribute for Remembrance Sunday. This is so creative Kim, we love it! To say thank you, we’re offering a free drink to all service men and women at our pubs up and down the country.

Manager Ross and his wife Lorna run Taverns pub, The Rossmere in Hartlepool. They’ve decorated the main room in the pub with forces flags, bunting, posters and hundreds of poppies for Remembrance Sunday.

The display took six weeks to pull together and the poppies were all crocheted by local customers. The lounge also features a remembrance wall with pictures of ancestors who served in past wars. And, the pub’s been featured in local paper, the Hartlepool Mail – check out the full article here.

Russ said: “It’s something I have always wanted to do and the reaction from customers has been fantastic. We spent hours pulling it together and we’ve been up until the early hours of the morning pinning the poppies up!”
