Alex has got what it takes!

Alex, Assistant Manager at The Marsh Harrier, has been crowned Hospitality Apprentice of the Year in the 2018 Lifetime Learner Achievement Awards.

Our apprenticeship training partner, Lifetime Training, supports more than 20,000 learners across the UK. And – with around 800 nominations this year – its annual awards event recognises and celebrates its very best learners.

Alex made it through to the final in the Hospitality Apprentice of the Year category – and we’re hugely proud to say that she was crowned the overall winner at a ceremony in Bristol.

Alex’s entry stood out because of her commitment to growing her career. She joined us as a front-of-house team member, and has always been dedicated to her learning and development. Alex’s got the skills every team leader needs and always inspires teammates with her top-notch customer service.

Alex said: “After 10 years working in the beauty industry, I’ve found my calling! At 29, I decided to reskill, and choosing to work in the hospitality industry has been the best decision I’ve ever made! Eventually I’d like to run my own pub, so I need to become a master of my craft. My apprenticeship has really helped me, and I’m so grateful for the training and support.”

At The Marsh Harrier, Alex takes care of all the Christmas bookings and events, team training, team member incentives and customer feedback. General Manager Chris, said: Alex is an asset to our team – she really takes the pressure off me, delivers fantastic customer service and motivates her teammates every single day!”

Well done Alex, we’re so proud of you! Have fun celebrating 🙂
