Let’s get ready to ramble!

It’s time to get those walking boots on and raise as much as possible to change children’s lives, in partnership with BBC Children in Need and Countryfile.

This year, we’re proud to be supporting Children in Need’s Countryfile Ramble. It’s your chance to walk, raise money and change children’s lives. Now in its fourth year, the ramble has raised £4.1 million for the charity so far!

This year, there will be a host of different walks taking place across the UK, including some special rambles led by the Countryfile presenters, alongside inspirational young people who’ve benefited from Children in Need funding.

The walks will showcase some of the best British landscapes from city scenes to mountain views, and will be filmed as part of a Countryfile TV Special to be shown at the end of October.

How can you get involved?

  • Why not organise a ramble of your own, and encourage teammates and customers to jump on board? Simply set up a fundraising page and use social media to promote your walk. Find out more here.
  • You can also search for a ramble taking place near you and rally friends and family to join in. Then, download a sponsorship form and join thousands of others making a difference.

Top tips from the Countryfile presenters…

Tom Heap: “Get a small backpack ready with a map, drinks and snacks!”

Adam Hensen: “Whatever the weather, the right clothing is really important. Check the forecast and pack your waterproofs. Be prepared!”

Ellie Harrison: “Take it all in. Keep your eyes open and enjoy everything the great outdoors has to offer.”

Up for the challenge? Grab your walking boots and remember to send your pics to communications@marstons.co.uk 🙂
