The celebrations continue…

Jennings Brewery continued the 190th birthday celebrations with a family fun day spectacular!

Despite the rain, hundreds of people turned out for the celebration behind the gates of Castle Brewery. Visitors enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon with free brewery tours, live music from Cindy Hoten, a bouncy castle and heaps of family-friendly games. And, the first 190 guests were given a free gift.

Plus, there was plenty of Jennings merch on sale, a grand raffle, cask ales on the bar (including Cumberland, Sneck Lifter and Cocker Hoop) and a tasty BBQ serving a special birthday burger with pork and ale sausages!

The show-stopping one-off birthday cake, made by Custom Cake Art, included a huge wooden beer barrel made completely out of cake and fondant icing, topped with chocolate beer bottles and served with edible beer mats and minted ice.

Assistant Brand Manager Sarah said: “One hundred and ninety years is something we’re incredibly proud of and including our customers in this milestone celebration makes the occasion that extra bit special. Here’s to another 190 years!”

Proceeds from the event went to Cash for Kids – a local charity that provides a helping hand to disabled and disadvantaged children in Cumbria and South West Scotland.

Next up is a special event to celebrate Cask Ale Week. Join the team from 28-30 September for the Taste Cumbria Beer Festival where there will be loads of beer on the bar from a host of local breweries. Tickets are free!
