Seafood festival success

The Ringwood sponsored Lymington Seafood Festival was a huge success with thousands of visitors and more than 2,000 pints poured across the weekend!

The Lymington Seafood Festival is a celebration of the New Forest’s rich cultural heritage, fab regional producers and special links to the sea.

Across the weekend, local artisan food producers served up an impressive 300 different delicacies and a host of local bands, artists and live cooking demos kept visitors entertained.

The rain definitely didn’t put people off, with thousands of visitors tucking in to the seafood delights accompanied by a pint of Ringwood ale (including limited-edition festival ale Cods Wallop). Pints were served in specially designed eco-friendly reusable glasses – the perfect souvenir!

This year, the huge festival raffle raised money for Hampshire based charity Sail 4 Cancer – a group dedicated to providing sailing experiences and respite days for families affected by cancer.
