Top quality beer garden

Leased pub The Jacobs Inn has been shortlisted for a Great British Pub Award for its fantastic beer garden!

The John Smith’s Great British Pub Awards are open to pubs up and down the country. Landlords enter and compete across 17 different categories, including ‘Best Community Pub’, ‘Best Family Pub’, ‘Best Pub Beer Garden’ and ‘Best Live Entertainment Pub’.

The judges, made up of industry experts, will visit every finalist and decide on a winner for each category, before handing out the prestigious ‘Pub of the Year’ title in September.

The Jacobs Inn is a traditional pub in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, serving a fantastic range of ales and homemade food. But what makes it really special is the fantastic beer garden –spacious grounds, a large terrace area, and even a petting zoo with pigs, goats (Eric and Ernie) and chickens, too. Take a peek below…

We’ve also put forward a host of our Taverns & Leased pubs to be judged in the named Pub Company category:

  • The Anchor Inn, Burbage
  • The George & Dragon, Arundle
  • LC Drinks & Dine, Llandudno
  • The Minster Inn, York
  • The Star, Penkridge

The awards are the toughest in the industry, so it’s really great for our pubs to be getting this kind of recognition!
