DE14 hits the road

We took our new DE14 Land Rover and a whole host of experimental brews to Lock and Key Beer Con – a three day celebration of the best beers in the Midlands.

Based at Marston’s Brewery in Burton, our 600-pint DE14 nano-kit allows our brewers to experiment with new ingredients and techniques to create exciting beers. So far, we’ve produced two core beers – Flight Suit and End Point IPA – and more than 40 limited-edition special brews and collaborations.

As a proud Midlands brewer, we were excited to get involved in The 2018 Lock and Key Beer Con at The Bond Company in Digbeth. It showcased the growing craft beer scene across the Midlands with interactive sessions, tap takeovers, workshops and live Q&As, as well as loads of beers on the bar and a variety of independent street food vendors.

We served a great line-up, including Morgan Silk NEIPA, Four Track hopped lager, our collab with Quarter Horse coffee, Husk Theory, and the stunning Parallax West Coast IPA. Our canned beers Flight Suit and End Point also received rave reviews, with drinkers loving the tangy flavours and smooth texture.

It was the first trip out for our brand new DE14 Land Rover Defender 110, too! It wowed guests with its sleek silver finish and classic DE14 artwork. And, to top it all off – it serves beer! Look out for it on the road and send us a pic at communications@marstons.co.uk.
