Become a mentor

Join The Way’s exciting new mentoring scheme in Wolverhampton and make a real difference to the lives of young people.

Have you ever thought about doing some volunteer work? It’s a great way to give something back, help others and really make a difference in your local community. Plus, it’s an opportunity to develop your skills, have some fun and build new relationships, too!

Interested? The Way Youth Zone – where we’re a proud Founder Patron – has just launched a new mentoring scheme that could be right up your street…

The Way is a purpose-built facility in Wolverhampton that provides young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. The £6 million centre offers a host of sporting and cultural activities for young people; and now the team’s after some support to deliver a brand new mentoring scheme.

Supported by local trust The Steve Morgan Foundation, the new mentoring programme will give young people structured and individualised one-to-one support, as well as the opportunity to take part in group workshops, trips and activities.

The aim of the mentoring scheme is to help young people realise and achieve their goals, by giving them someone to talk to. Positive relationships like these have a huge impact on young people and can go a long way to helping improve their wellbeing, education and employment prospects.

We love supporting The Way and the great work it does with young people. If you’re interested in becoming a mentor, call 01902 328290 or click here to fill out the application form.
