New look McEwan’s hits shelves up and down the country

McEwan’s has had a McNificent makeover, and consumers are loving the new look!

We acquired the McEwan’s beer brand in June 2017 as part of the Eagle Brewery acquisition. It’s a great addition to our portfolio, giving us an important presence in Scotland and helping us to be the UK’s leading premium beer business.

McEwan’s Export has been refreshing thirsty workers with its sweet and hearty character since 1856 and is Scotland’s biggest selling canned ale. McEwan’s Champion, a sweet and fruity bottle-only brew, was launched in 1997, after taking first place in Tesco’s bottled beer competition. And, McEwan’s Headspace is a uniquely delicious Scotch whisky beer.

Over the last few months, we’ve been working on a new design for McEwan’s. It’s fresh and modern, but has an all-important nod to the brand’s heritage, featuring the famous and iconic McEwan’s Cavalier at the centre. There’s already been some great feedback, with customers describing the new look as ‘the best design yet’.

The rebrand is currently taking-off in the on-trade and the McNificent consumer campaign will follow shortly – it’s all about celebrating and coming together over a pint of McEwan’s.
