What’s new at Childwall Abbey?

From the new gin bar to the extended patio area, this pub’s looking better than ever!

The Childwall Abbey Hotel is just four miles from Liverpool city centre, set in beautiful countryside. The exact origins of the hotel remain a mystery, but it’s thought the original abbey building dates as far back as the Domesday Book.

Thanks to a big investment, there’s been a full revamp of the pub and hotel. Internally the pub has had a full refurb with brand new furniture, lighting and curtains. The lounge bar has been extended, a new gin/vodka bar has been fitted and the carvery deck has been removed.

The beer garden has been completely redesigned too, with an extended patio and brand new outdoor furniture. And there’s been a full refurb of the seven of the hotel’s rooms – designed and named after famous actors who’ve stopped by over the years.

On top of all this, there’s even a brand new menu and fifteen new teammates to welcome.

It’s definitely worth a visit, with rumours of a 15th century ghost haunting the building and the Beatles as former customers in the tap room!

Check it out here.
