DE14, our 600-pint nano-brewery, is heading to the annual Craft Beer Rising festival in London from 22 to 24 Feb.
Based at Marston’s Brewery in Burton, our DE14 nano-kit allows our brewers to experiment with ingredients and techniques to create exciting new beers. And now it’s going on tour!
Craft Beer Rising is the UK’s biggest craft beer festival and is being held at The Old Truman Brewery in London later this week, where we’ll be showcasing six new beers:
Flight Suit Orange Pale Ale: It’s a punchy, refreshing orange pale ale, crammed with five different hop varieties.
4-Track Hopped Lager: Named after the first multi-track recording machines found in recording studios in the 1950s, this beer is quad-hopped to deliver a refreshing, well-rounded lager.
End Pont IPA: This beer combines lager and pale ale malts to create a light golden colour using Admiral, First Gold and Herkules hops. The trio of American hops (Chinook, Cascade and Columbus) helps create a Burton IPA for the 21st century!
Hygge Liquorice Rye: This combo of liquorice and rye is popular in Denmark. That’s why it’s called ‘Hygge’ – the Danish word for ‘cosiness’! In this brew, four types of rye malt combine with British pale barley malt to provide a nutty character. A generous amount of liquorice root gives it a smooth and sweet
Free Fall Saison: Free Fall is a farmhouse-styled Saison ale, brewed with pilsner malt to create a sweet malty beer. It’s fermented using a Belgian Saison yeast, which creates distinct fruity aromas and sweet malty flavours.
Morgan Silk NEIPA: Burton local Morgan Silk is a regular at our Home Brew Club. Morgan impressed with a home-brewed New England IPA and was asked to brew it on the DE14 nano-kit. The result is a lush super-hopped NEIPA, bursting with tropical flavours.
Sam Coles, Brands Marketing Manager – Craft, said: “We were overwhelmed by how good Morgan’s beer was – sharp and leaping with grapefruit. So, we invited him to brew it on DE14 and it’s a stunner!”
