Cash raised for children’s hospital

The Huntsman of Brockenhurst has raised a massive £600 cash and £300 of vouchers for Southampton Children’s Hospital.

The team began fundraising over Christmas, asking customers for gift cards and cash for their local children’s hospital. They also created a lottery board, where customers could buy a square to be in with a chance of winning some great prizes.

Ann, General Manager at The Huntsman, wanted to support the charity after being inspired by a girl having chemotherapy there. After visiting the ward to see the amazing work that goes on, she noticed there wasn’t much storage for Christmas presents, so she decided vouchers would be more useful, as well as cash to help fund the hospital’s vital work.

The entire Huntsman team got involved. They created a buzz on social media and spread the news by telling customers and other local businesses about the cause. Well done guys, the money you’ve raised will make a huge difference!
