Marston’s House wins

Our newly refurbed office was highly commended at last night’s British Council for Offices’ (BCO) national awards.

Five of the toughest critics in the industry were beaming from ear to ear when they toured the building in June. The panel, made up of long-serving BCO members with more than 100 years’ property experience between them, was hugely impressed by how creative and flexible the space is, and how it’s full with personality that reflects the wider business too. The judges said: “Marston’s new office is a great example of how to bring building, workplace and people together, blending the heritage of its past with the need to focus on its future.”

The awards event was hosted by comedian and broadcaster Dr Phil Hammond at Grosvenor House in London last night. We were up against some stiff competition – in fact, the BCO tweeted that the Corporate Workplace category was the toughest decision of the night, so we’re thrilled to have won a Highly Commended award, alongside Moneypenny in Wrexham. Sky Central took the top spot in our category and went on the win the Best of the Best award at the end of the night too.

The BCO Awards are all about recognising office innovation, sharing best practice when it comes to top design and functionality, and celebrating benchmarks of excellence in workplaces across the UK. It’s one of the most prestigious events in the corporate real estate calendar, attracting more than 1,300 key players in the sector each year.

Huge congrats and thanks to everyone involved in the refurb J
