DANCING BETTY OPENS ITS DOOR IN COUNTY DURHAM

The doors have been opened… 11am today in fact! Yes our latest new build Dancing Betty welcomed our first customers today.

Dancing Betty is open at Dalton Park shopping complex in Murton, County Durham.

Our new team has spent the last few weeks enjoying their training so they are the best of the best and ready to rock – or dance!

The building’s look has been inspired by traditional coaching inns, but where does the name come from?

A Dancing Betty is a vertical tensioning device for a haulage rope used during the mining era.

It all makes sense as its location is on the site of the former Murton Colliery.

The pub is part of the £45m phase-two expansion of the shopping outlet which already features a Cineworld cinema, KFC, Prezzo, The Restaurant Group brand Frankie & Benny’s and PizzaExpress.

If you are in the area at all make sure you pop in and have a look and welcome your teammates.
