Cycling for a good cause

Fancy a spring cycle ride round some of Britain’s most glorious countryside? Banks’s is sponsoring ‘Round the Wrekin Sportive’.

Setting off on 21 May, there will be three cycle routes catering for all abilities: a short route of 24-miles of gentle rolling Shropshire countryside; a standard route of 64-miles; and an epic route of 102-miles (not for the faint-hearted!!), taking in The Burway, Stiperstones and The Wrekin.

There’s a route for everyone, so whether you want to get fit, challenge yourself, or just enjoy a day out with family, friends and colleagues, why not give it a go?

It’s also a chance to support, represent and advertise Banks’s. All employees who register and take part will be provided with a Banks’s cycling jersey.

CEO Ralph Findlay and Beer Company MD Richard Westwood will be leading the Marston’s team and are encouraging as many as possible to take part. Richard said: “All routes start and finish at Dudley Kingswinford Rugby club which is an ideal venue, having ample parking and serving a full range of our beers! The event is very well organised with full route markings, mechanical support and regular food stops. And it’s all in support of a fantastic cause.”

More details about the event, including full route descriptions, can be found at www.compton-hospice.org.uk. Interested? Simply register via the website and email Beer Company PA Kim Parkes with the size jersey you’ll need on the day.
