Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week

We hit the road in support of National Apprenticeship Week last month to spread the word about our pub apprenticeships.

With nearly 600 people in learning across our pub business, National Apprenticeship Week (14-18 March) was the perfect opportunity to hit the road and shout about Marston’s apprenticeships.

We also took the opportunity to catch-up with some of our current apprentices during the week to hear their thoughts…

Christine and Alex Rennie, The Queen & Lock: Christine works in the Housekeeping team and has really enjoyed doing her qualification. The apprenticeship has boosted her confidence and helped her develop further in her role. Her son, Alex, didn’t enjoy school and decided that further education wasn’t right for him. Instead, he chose a kitchen apprenticeship with us for his next challenge. The programme has enabled him to learn and expand his kitchen knowledge whilst working, in an environment that he really enjoys.

Jacob Rushgrove, The Oddfellows: Watch this film where Jacob explains why we’re the place to be for learning and development.

Calling all pub managers…you can register a vacancy for an apprentice at your site, or sign-up members of your team who would like to develop their skills through a national qualification at http://www.marstonsapprenticeships.co.uk/.
