Pontardawe Inn voted pub of the year for third time

The Pontardawe Inn, Swansea, has won the Neath & Port Talbot CAMRA’s ‘pub of the year’ title for the third year in a row.

The Pontardawe Inn, a Swansea franchise site run by locals Steve and Sharon, has won the Neath & Port Talbot CAMRA’s ‘pub of the year’ title for the third year in a row.

Running the pub since 2012, Steve and Sharon host two music festivals each year – a Welsh music and comedy event in July and a rock and blues festival in August – as well as hosting a range of other societies and groups, including local sports clubs. But it was the pub’s beer quality, customer service, atmosphere, décor and value for money that members of the Neath & Port Talbot Branch CAMRA scored so highly.

The Pontardawe Inn will now be entered into the running for Welsh Pub of the Year.

Huge congratulations to Steve, Sharon and The Pontardawe Inn team – and fingers crossed for the national title!
